....how one song can hold so many memories? my iTunes is on random play and i had a really cool memory then i thought i wonder if every song i listen to will have as many. sure enough most of the songs held one or two great memories.

sorry by the paddingtons: i remember a great day out in london with annette drinking mulled wine and jumping in the car at wycombe station and throwing this on singing it whilst going around wycombe the wrong way! also walking along the high street at 2 in the morning with rob singing like bitches.

22 grand job by the rakes: reading festival 2005. jumping around at about 4 in the afternoon drunk beyond belief with this on the ghetto blaster whilst people walked past looking bewildered. also the rakes playing this with paul smith, russell and gordy from bloc party and dirk towers of london.

slow hands by interpol: killers on camera studio around summer time 2005. end of a great night, slow hands comes on the magic stereo and a mass bundle ensues consisting of me, rob, ross, scandal, paul riley and chappers. magic.

boys don't cry by the cure: as well as being possibly my all time favourite song this along with a few other cure songs is the song of the roundabout days. just turned 18 and nobody else had, the only pub that would serve us was the roundabout. the jukebox had the cures singles cd on it. we had some amazing nights in that place. i remember trying to be sick with scandal watching. im puking up air then all of a sudden he pukes the biggest puddle of sick seen this side china since 1763! moony and rob rolling up in the toilets and stinking the whole pub out. the endless games of pool. my own seat. man, i love that place.

fix up, look sharp by dizzee rascal: i remember owingtothis playing this song at holmer green football club back in summer 2004. that was a funny night. ross nearly got beat up twice for dropping two different peoples weed all over the field. moony loves this song. moony is this song!

Well well well, the winner of the best venue in mighty Wycombe is the Multi Racial Centre, I think I'm, right in saying that there hasn't been a gig there for well over a year. Even when people put gigs on there, there weren't that many. Memories of underage drinking and early Psyche Out spring to mind. Battle of the bands and all that. I remember being totally wowed by the amount of people you could fit into such a small room. It was intimate and there was such an air of romanticism about it. Maybe I'm going to deeply into this. So there you go, Traders love the MRC. Maybe we should put a gig on for old times sake. Psyche Out, Owingtothis reunion!, Finding Barry reuinion! and RBAP. Would be funny.

Amazing time last night, cheers to anyone that backed me up in the fight and especially Danny, Wilko and Ball. However Alex Wutar desrves a very big thank you from me. I think without his expert claming techniques I would probably have been arrested. Makes you realise actually how many people you can consider a friend when you get involved in a fight. It's wierd. I hate fighting but when one of your best friends girlfriends gets started on you know you've got to do someting about it. Maybe violence is not the answer but this is another downfall of alcohol. It all turned out to be an incredible night anyway. Some people make me laugh so much and some people piss me off! I love Wycombe and I love the Antelope.

This picture had to be posted here! It sums him up I think.

Story: We were in Brighton to see The Strokes and had been drinking ALL DAY. We started in the Pav Tav which is an amazing pub in Brighton which could be described as quite similar to the Antelope i suppose. Carried on drinking in the hotel bar, then at the gig we went a bit mental. He fell over about twenty times during their set! We left the gig and were strolling along the beach when some bright spark came up with the idea of stripping and going in the sea! It happened! I left him on the beach and scattered all of his clothes around and went to meet Smyly. He finally caught up with us about five minutes later with his clothes inside out and totally dripping wet! Decided to take out his wet anger on me by whipping me in the face with a poster and then got denied from numerous bars and clubs for being too drunk. We went back to the hotel to carry on drinking, he could only manage one before he retired. He went to bed and left me without a key. I rang him up and he couldn't talk. Finally got him to bed then I decided it would be funny to keep, him awake al night so he had a hangover in the morning. He was having none of it so he decided to throw the TV on the floor to shut me up-didn't work! Kept him awake with my ramblings for another half an hour then he decided to ring as many rooms in the hotel as possible to piss people off. Then his worst idea of all which was to throw a mug on the toilets tiled floor which made the most amazingly loud shattering sound! This shut me up, it takes a lot to shut me up doesn't it. Anyway, moral of this story don't go naked in the sea on Brighton beach because it will make you angry!

Team Trader represented by Scandal, Rob and myself are very proud to announce that we won the White Horse music quiz held by Bluehand last night! The winnings were very willingly spent on booze. Stonking set from the Genuine Freakshow boys as well. If you've never seen them then you definately should.
The Christmas gig is shaping up rather nicely. If you don't know already Another Story and The Great Blind Degree have had to pull out and have been replaced by the awesome 'Action and Action' and 'Cats and Cats and Cats'. KATE BUSH has announced details of her new album.
The singer will release the double-LP 'Aerial' on November 7.
The record will mark the eccentric performer’s first since 1993’s 'The Red Shoes'.
'Aerial' will be preceded by the single 'King Of The Mountain' on October 24.
No live dates have been announced, though Bush has only toured once during her career, in 1979.

As I sit here with a fully grown beard, a cough that could wipe out half of China and flowers growing out of my ears I wonder why the hell did I put myself through all of that abuse over the weekend. Hmmmm......because it was the best fucking time of my life ever! I'm having to take time off work because of it which is ever so rare for me (NOT!). Theres so many memories that needn't ever be talked about ever again which I'm sure will reappear in someone's photographs along the way. Well that was a heck of a long time since I last updated this "website"! I'm not really sure yet as to update only when we have photos or just update the usual random ramblings and muscial references. I'm not even sure if anyone reads the stuff I write!?!?! Anyway Reading Festival is only a month away, I can't freakin wait to see The Arcade Fire and oh so many others. Domonic Masters text me the other day, he said that the guerilla gig in my tent is on for the Sunday night so nobody has to be pained into watching Incubus, Marilyn Manson and Iron Maiden! Bring it on guerilla styley! We should do one in the centre of Wycombe, a twenty minute jazz funk odyssey to freak out the locals. Wycombe would come to a stand still. Its the way forwards or backwards. Geurilla gigs are a bit passe now I suppose.

Eventful weekends are always the most memorable, whether they are good or bad. You all know what happened to me on Friday night was shit (the bruising is way better now), but I'm so proud to have mates like you guys. It really is amazing. I've just had the most incredible sense of longing for The Libertines. It makes me sad to see something so unbelieveably incredible fall to pieces. However, it does seem to be picking up a bit with the "meeting" a few weeks back. Hopefully, if they ever did create a third album it would be as good as Up The Bracket, which could actually turn out to be an impossible feat. "The Libertines" is such an awful album, the songs on it aren't bad, you can just tell it wasn't recorded in the rough edgy all together way Up The Bracket was. I was lucky enough to see them live a couple of times and it was one of the best experiences of my life. Long live the Albion!

Une Annee Sans Lumiere

This weekend was truly fantastic. Thursday night was a civilised drink in the Roundabout, Friday was a raucos Rye night and Saturday was........a happy blur! Everyone seems so happy and settled at the moment, it's truly incredible. I think it's because summer is arriving, work is getting nice and college is finishing soon. Love is in the air too. Be good to each other, I hope we all stick together because these weekends are slowly running out before people move away to uni and start travelling and settling down. Cherish every moment, I'm learning to do so and it's made me a better person. I have so many people to thank for this and if I listed them all we would be here all night, you know who you are anyway. Love each other with a passion.

I discovered Coco Rosie today with thanks to Scandal. It's a truly uplifting, beautiful experience. Find them out, they're almost as good as love.

A Lot Can Happen In A Week

Wow, a whole wondefrul week has passed by so beautifully quick and there hasn't been any updates. A major thank you has to go to Chrissy for the quality sauna party and to the Smyly family for having a nice house. Watly Fest was kinda nice in the sun, its a pretty town. Could be better if it wasn't full of ageing hippies, annoyingly similar teenage girls and bloody BMXers!!! Nice bank holiday weekend.
So, the French voted NO, the Live 8 concert was announced, The Cure have changed their line up, The Strokes have nearly completed another album and those damn Liverpool fans haven't stopped going on about that flukey win. Not much else to report on apart from there being two new Charlotte poems on the Reviews Page (think I may have to change that to Poems Page soon, someone write a review!).
I'm working in Louise's next door neighbours house tomorrow, wierd!

Hope everyone's weekend has been as blurry as mine! The 'lope was where it was at on Friday and Saturday night. The crazy non-indie hip hop jive dancing was incredible. The wedding I went to came and went so quickly that it wasn't too much of a drag to go to, it's always charming to see old and new family.
There doesn't really seem to be too much going on in Wycombe in the next week, haven't been to the Horse in a while so I'm not sure if there's any decnt gigs. European Cup Final celebrations on Wednesday, don't have a clue what people want to do.

Well well well, what an amazing gig last night eh? I didn't think that seeing a band for the 6th 0r 7th time (probably) would still generate the amount of excitement inside of me as the 1st or 2nd time of seeing them. Truly brilliant show and the aftershow party gig was also beautiful. Would be lovely to see some comments from the KOC (pronounced cock!!) crew as I know a couple of you visit here. This weekend started off with some extra rare lairy juice from the Scandal. Hyde Park was beautiful and the ice creams were amazing but jumping in the Serpentine sucks arse. The real brilliant happenings were on Saturday night with some beautiful Owing To This excellence. Also lovely to see the KOC lady-boys (don't take my criticism too badly!).

I hope all of you super lovely people enjoyed the most wonderful sun over the weekend. The Rye is the place to be when the weather is hot and the beers are cheap. The dog show was immense and the bungey trampoline ride was excellent to watch. How the hell did that guy get 4 flips?!?!
A big thanks to Scandal for letting everyone round his place on Fri and Sat. Still not sure about the London trip on Friday. Ross and Charlotte's review of the Kaiser Chiefs gig is on the reviews page. Do you know how long that took me to spell check that!

WOAH! Thats been a week without a real update. Hope everyone enjoyed the weekend as much as I did! A big thank you to Mel for the party and a big fuck off to John for nearly ruining everyone's night. Met some well cool people and drunk shit loads of Vodka, was so good I can't even remember Friday night! Been to work today but my boss decided I was too tired to do any work so we came home early. Thats when you really know it was a good party.

This weekend was fookin cool. Really good to see everyone in such a pleasing mood on Friday night. Sick people always make it feel better!
That band Straw Geese were pretty cool and Viper Suzas and Furtherafield were great from what I could hear. Roundy gigs are the best, I just wish more people in the pub would actually watch the bands cos there are some really great yet simple bands in the local area at the moment.

Got the photos developed today, but for some haggard reason my scanner is being a complete biatch, so you will all have to wait until tomorrow(or even longer probably) for me to get them put on to CD. They all look good though. Get that bloody digital camera out next time Rossti!!!

Expect a Babyshambles album in July hopefully without bloody Kate Moss backing vocals. In related news-maybe a solo album for Mr Carlos Barat in October. Libetines reunion in time for Christmas? This weekend was an amazingly joyous affair. The Selecter on Friday was excellent. The lead singer may have been a bit of an arse, but the music was good and the dancing was happening. Nice to see Chris off his face and cheers to Fij for a good talk outside. Brighton with Liz, Louise and Ross was brilliant, and the day was topped off by celebrating Rob's 18th at the Roundy and some super crazy arse drunk indie dancing. Great to see Miles and Kelly come down. Cheers to Ross for Brighton. Expect photos soon.

As last nights pub music quiz at the Wendover Arms was such a Traders dissapointment, I reckon we should make it a monthly Traders outing. Was a terrible bundle of joy. We need to bring some musical respect to our name! Who's up for next months quiz?!
Everyone seen the latest additions to Reading Festi? If not, check 'em out here http://http://www.nme.com/news/111925.htm. There's not actually many bands on the bill that I would be hugely excited about seeing. The Arcade Fire (http://www.arcadefire.com/) and Babyshambles of course will have to be seen! Hopefully the Carling tent should be as good as last year. Killers On Camera should get an early slot there, they're the kind of band that would go down well.

Who are the traders?

The Traders are a group of heroes, villains and ghoules that live in a dark and mysterious town going by the name of High Wycombe. They're funny, contrary, argumentative and a little bit insane. The Traders have been on the wanted list of local vandals for a year but have never been tracked down by the government. Taking inspiration from anyway possible the crew bend the rock n' roll lifestyle to snapping point. Where will they all end up? Who will they all become? Why do they stick together? How do they all look so freakin' cool?
There are many stories to be told and many more to be never told again. The Traders will live forever.
